By default the telescopes will attain a sharp automatic focus before the telescope starts your data/image acquisition.

The systems will in most cases automatically slew to a nominated focus star of sufficient brightness and center it before focusing.

This should ensure a good auto-focus. The telescope will also refocus on each filter change.

But you can do a focus check at anytime during your sessions by selectiing the 'Periodic Focus' option as well.

See the imaging options in the ACP interface.
